MCC Theater's Miscast 2026: Lea Michele, Ruthie Ann Miles & More Broadway Stars! (2026)

Prepare to be amazed! The Off-Broadway scene is buzzing with excitement as MCC Theater unveils its initial lineup for the highly anticipated Miscast concert in 2026. This annual gala, taking place on April 27 at the iconic Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City, promises an unforgettable evening where beloved stage stars will perform songs from roles that would typically be outside their usual casting. And to make it even more accessible, the entire event will be streamed live worldwide for free!

Among the dazzling performers set to take the stage is Tramell Tillman, the Emmy-winning star of Severance, who is making a triumphant return to his theatrical roots. Joining him are Tony Award winners Darren Criss, known for his role in Maybe Happy Ending, and Jane Krakowski from Oh, Mary!, along with the incredibly talented Ruthie Ann Miles from Sweeney Todd, and Brian Stokes Mitchell, who has wowed audiences in Man of La Mancha. Fans can also look forward to seeing Lea Michele and Nicholas Christopher, who share the stage in Chess, as well as Caissie Levy, famously recognized for her portrayal of "Mother" in Ragtime. But that's just the beginning – stay tuned for more names to be announced in the coming weeks!

The musical direction for this year's event will be handled by the talented Will Van Dyke, ensuring that each performance is nothing short of spectacular.

In a heartfelt tribute, this year's gala will honor the remarkable contributions of Tony-winning producers Roy Furman and Jill Furman, alongside MCC Youth Company alum Jose Useche, celebrating the impact they have had on the theater community.

Tickets for general admission are already available for pre-sale to MCC Patrons, with a Subscriber pre-sale kicking off on February 11 at noon ET. If you’re looking to snag your spot, mark your calendars for February 13 at noon ET, when tickets will open up to the public at MCCTheater.org.

Additionally, for those interested in supporting the event further, gala tables and sponsorship packages can be obtained by reaching out to Director of Development Vinny Martini at (212) 727-7722, ext. 205.

This exciting blend of talent and creativity at the Miscast concert raises intriguing questions about the boundaries of casting and performance.
